Amanda Huggins lives in Yorkshire and works in engineering.
A selection of her short fiction appears in the InkTears anthology, Death of a Superhero, and she is the author of two collections, Separated From the Sea (Retreat West Books), and Brightly Coloured Horses (Chapeltown).
She is also a published poet and award-winning travel writer, and won the BGTW New Travel Writer of the Year Award in 2014. Her work has appeared in a number of magazines and newspapers, including Mslexia, Ellipsis, Wanderlust, Traveller, the Telegraph and the Guardian. Her fiction has been placed in numerous competitions, and in 2018 she was shortlisted for both the Bridport and Fish Flash Fiction Awards, commended in the Bath Flash Fiction Award, and shortlisted for the Colm Toibin International Short Story Award.
